What is Of Sand and Sea?
Of Sand & Sea began with a collection.
Jessica of JDX Designs named her latest line Of Sand & Sea and wanted to create a space to showcase it. But the heart behind the collection was bigger than fashion. For Jessica, sewing, designing, and creating have also been spaces for healing.
That idea became the foundation for something more.
JDX Designs partnered with the Black and Brown Beauty Collective to transform the collection’s showcase into an immersive experience centered on the ways creativity can give us space to rest, reconnect, experience joy, and simply feel good.
At the center is a curated runway featuring Of Sand & Sea alongside local designers and models. Around it, guests will experience art, music, sensory elements, wellness activations, local vendors, and intentional moments designed to invite you to slow down and stay awhile.
This isn’t a fashion show where you simply arrive, sit, watch, and leave. You’re invited to experience it.
Who is it for?
It’s for the fashion lover. The creative. The person who needs a little beauty in their life. The person who has been working, carrying, producing, caring, or simply doing a lot and could use an afternoon that asks nothing of them except to be present and enjoy.
You don’t have to be in the fashion industry. You don’t have to be an artist. And you certainly don’t have to know anything about wellness.
You just have to come.
Think a little vacation in the middle of fall — where fashion, art, community, wellness, and joy meet by the sea.

The Purpose
To expand the conversation around what wellness and healing can look like.
To create meaningful space for Black and Brown designers, artists, models, wellness practitioners, and entrepreneurs to be seen and experienced.
To remind people that fashion and art belong in healing spaces, too.
To create an experience where people leave feeling lighter, inspired, connected, seen—and maybe a little more like themselves again.
Ultimately, Of Sand & Sea is about creating something beautiful enough to step into—and meaningful enough to carry with you when you leave.
Because wellness is bigger than treatment.
Healing can also look like joy. Beauty. Creativity. Play. Rest. Expression. Community. Getting dressed up. Discovering something beautiful. Having something to look forward to.
Art and fashion have the ability to shift how we feel, help us reconnect with ourselves, and give us space to imagine something beyond what we
may be carrying.
Of Sand & Sea was created to make room for that kind of healing.

The afternoon begins with our market—a chance to ease into the experience before the runway begins. Explore a curated collection of local makers and wellness brands, grab a bite or a drink, connect with community, and let the DJ set the mood.
Then, we turn to the runway.
Local designers and models come together to tell a story through fashion—one rooted in creativity, expression and the beauty of being fully present.
Throughout the experience, thoughtful activations invite you to engage, explore and take a moment for yourself. Nothing forced. Nothing you have to “get right.”
Just small opportunities to slow down, discover something new and enjoy where you are.
